About Me

I obtained my undergraduate degree in Mathematics in Sri Lanka. Then I worked as a faculty member in the same University for more than 5 years. In the meantime, I worked on a Master of Science degree, in which I obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Mathematics. I joined Eastern Illinois University as a graduate student and obtained Master of Arts degree in 2016. Then I joined the University of Toledo for my Ph.D which was completed on 2021. I have joined the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) as an Assistant Professor from 2021. Most of my researches are based on Lie theory, and used to find new Lie algebras of higher dimensions. These researches are based on several Mathematical software, mainly with Maple. I have been working on several departmental committees including the Undergraduate Math Major Student’s committee.
