About Me

In 2014, Dr. Vo completed his bachelor's degree in mathematics with honors at Vietnam National University - University of Science. Under the guidance of Dr. Nguyen Thanh Long, his bachelor's thesis focused on two numerical schemes for a nonlinear wave equation with mixed boundary conditions.

Dr. Vo earned his Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics with cum laude distinction from the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Italy in 2018. His doctoral research, mainly conducted at the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. habil. Adrian Muntean (Karlstad University, Sweden), explored corrector homogenization estimates for PDE systems.

Before joining FAMU, Dr. Vo served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, funded by the US Army Research Laboratory and US Army Research Office, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Michael Victor Klibanov. Additionally, he was a recipient of the FWO postdoctoral fellowship granted by the Research Foundation – Flanders of Belgium, conducting research under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Iuliu Sorin Pop at Hasselt University. He also held a short-term research associate position at the University of Goettingen, Germany, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Thorsten Hohage.
