Bio


Dr. Smith-Flakes received her doctorate degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Florida A&M University in 2009.  Since that time, she completed an ASHP accredited residency at the Orlando VA Medical Center in 2011 and received her Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Service Administration from Keiser University in 2011 as well.  She currently holds certifications in immunizing, consulting, and medication therapy management.  In addition, Dr. Smith-Flakes received her Taylor Teaching Certificate from the University of Florida in 2012.  Dr. Smith-Flakes is a member of American Pharmacy Association, American Society of Health System Pharmacist, Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society, and Kappa Epsilon Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc.  Her experiences and interest include, drug distribution, geriatrics, pain management, anticoagulation services, pharmacy management operations, research and development, practice management, women’s health and primary care.  Dr. Smith-Flakes actively participates in research and other scholarly endeavors resulting in numerous peer-reviewed publications and various grant funding.
