Are tickets needed to attend?

Tickets are not required to attend Commencement.

Is the ceremony available to watch online?

You may watch the Commencement ceremony on

Will printed programs be available to graduates and guests?

No Physical Programs Will Be Printed.

All guests will be able to access the digital program by scanning the QR code posted throughout the arena. or by clicking HERE

Is the Commencement program available to download?

Access to the Commencement program will be available on Thursday, August 1, 2024 - Click HERE.

Are strollers and balloons allowed in the arena? What other items are prohibited?

The following items are PROHIBITED:

Strollers,

Balloons,

Signs,

Banners

Air Horns (or noise makers of any kind)

are NOT PERMITTED in the arena at any time during the event. These items obstruct views and traffic flow of all attendees.

Is there a clear bag policy for the Commencement ceremonies?

Yes, the University's clear bag policy will be enacted and enforced during the ceremonies. Please be sure to review the Clear Bag and Prohibited Item Policy.

Are all graduates required to complete the Exit Survey?

Yes, the Exit Survey must be completed before prospective graduates receive their name cards and cords. Access the Exit Survey.

When is Commencement Rehearsal?

Commencement rehearsal will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 4 p.m. in the Al Lawson, Jr. Multipurpose Center.

What time do I need to arrive to Gaither Gym on the day of commencement for staging and to line up?

Please arrive 90 Minutes prior to the start of your designated commencement ceremony for staging.

Summer 2024 Staging Location: 4th Floor of the Al Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center.

How and where do we purchase our regalia for Commencement?

You may purchase regalia online and from the University bookstore before the deadline:

Standard Shipping - March 22, 2024 - Midnight

Rush Orders March 25-29, 2024.

Will a student be allowed to apply for graduation this semester and participate in a ceremony held in a later semester?

Students are required to participate in the ceremony for which they have applied for graduation. For example, if a student applies for graduation during the Spring term, they will only be able to participate in the Spring Commencement ceremony. There are no exceptions to this policy.
