Bachelor of Science in Electronic Eng. Technology

Electronic Engineering Technology
he Electronic Engineering Technology program offers specialized instruction in modern electronics, automation, and digital systems. The mission of the program is to produce highly skilled graduates with a strong foundation in electronic principles, applied engineering technology, and problem-solving for today’s industries.

The Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) program prepares graduates to engage in the rapidly evolving fields of electronics, computing, automation, and communications. Students gain comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in areas such as electronic communications, digital systems and computing, automatic control systems and robotics, audio and video technologies, and medical electronics. A distinctive feature of the program is its strong laboratory component, where students develop skills in computer-based problem solving, the application of modern electronic test equipment, and the use of microprocessors and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

The curriculum also introduces specialized coursework in robotics and automation, ensuring students are prepared for emerging technologies and industry demands. Emphasis is placed on both theoretical knowledge and applied practice, giving graduates the ability to analyze, design, and implement solutions across multiple sectors.

The program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) of ABET, which recognizes programs that meet rigorous standards of quality and professional relevance in engineering technology education.

Graduates of the EET program are well-positioned for careers in the design, development, and testing of communication devices; the supervision and management of electronic manufacturing processes; instrumentation and automation; and roles in computing as hardware and software technologists. Alumni also advance into leadership positions as specialists in robotics, control systems, and emerging electronics applications. In addition, the program provides a strong foundation for graduate study in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, or management.
