We extend a warm welcome to graduate students interested in becoming members of the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) Office of Counseling Services (OCS) and the Rattler FAMUly.
The OCS training programs offer unique and comprehensive supervised training experiences — in an authentic university counseling center setting — for graduate students interested in pursuing careers as licensed psychologists or professional counselors.
This is an exciting and dynamic program in which to train. It is our priority to foster and maintain a learning/training environment that is supportive, nurturing and challenging for our psychology interns.
The practicum training program is designed to develop one’s clinical counseling skills, prepare students to engage competently, and provides a balance of autonomy and structure.
The master’s training program endorses a model of supervision and training that focuses on the development of competencies consistent with a master’s intern’s level of experience.
