Arlisha is a native of Tallahassee, FL. Arlisha has over twenty years of technology experience combined with the private sector and academia. Arlisha’s previous experience consists of working for a Fortune 500 Company where she has held positions as an IT Analyst, Transition Lead, and Global Project Manager.
Arlisha holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems with a Minor in Business from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, an M.S. in Management Information Systems with Concentration in Decision Support Systems from Strayer University, and a Doctoral degree from Florida State University in Education Leadership and Policy with a certificate in Program Evaluation. Professionally, Arlisha has obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP) and Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma certifications. In commitment to excellence, Arlisha has found her niche in giving back as an educator in higher education.
Arlisha currently serves as an Instructor at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University in the School of Business & Industry college in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management. She also taught in the Computer and Information Sciences Department. She engaged students in learning Business Technology, Data Analytics and Big Data, C#, Java Programming, Oracle\SQL, Computer Ethics, Professional Development, and Capstone Projects. In addition, her teaching experience includes hybrid and online distance learning at Central Piedmont Community College & Chipola University. Arlisha’s corporate experience has proven to be invaluable in preparing her students for the real world of information technology.
