About Me


Andrea V. Nelson, J.D., is an Assistant Professor of Business Law in the Accounting and Finance Department at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Professor Nelson earned her Juris Doctorate from The University of Georgia School of Law and a B.A. from Emory University. Her primary research interests are in the areas of law and economics. Professor Nelson has been published in such journals as Theoretical Economics Letters and the South East Asia Journal of Contemporary Business, Economics, and LawHer teaching areas include business law, undergraduate and graduate levels, commercial law, and real estate. When not teaching or conducting research, Professor Nelson volunteers her time speaking on estate planning to create intergenerational wealth and reduce wealth disparities in disadvantaged communities.
