About Me


Professor Melissa Damelio is a dedicated nursing educator with nearly two decades of experience teaching nursing students across all levels, including LPN, ADN, and BSN programs. She currently serves as course lead for Foundations of Clinical Practice and champions Dosage Calculations for BSN students at Florida A&M University.

Since joining the FAMU School of Nursing in 2020, she has taken on several leadership roles, including Level 1 Leader, Testing Committee Chair, Assessment Committee Co-Chair, and member of both the Curriculum and Emergency Preparedness Committees.

Her clinical background includes neonatal intensive care at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, along with extensive experience supporting students on medical-surgical units at local hospitals. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at FAMU.
