Dr. Pitts earned his BS degree in Health Science from Florida A&M University in 2015. He then earned his Master of Occupational Therapy from Florida A&M University in 2018. He has experience in multiple practice areas including Early Intervention (EI) to older adults across a multitude of settings. In 2020, Dr. Pitts found that taking and mentoring fieldwork students was rewarding and decided he wanted to impact OT on a larger scale. This experience prompted him to pursue his Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. He graduated with his Dr.OT in 2023, and served as the Assistant Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for Nova prior to coming back to Florida A&M University. Dr. Pitts believes in a student-centered approach to learning through facilitation and collaboration with students and colleagues.
