Bio


Dr. Marilyn A. Weatherspoon is an Assistant Professor, Rehabilitation Services Certificate Coordinator at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in the School of Allied Health Sciences, Division of Health Science. Dr. Weatherspoon earned a Bachelor of Science degree from FAMU in Psychology, a Master of Social Work degree with a Clinical concentration and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Florida State University. In addition, she earned a Certificate in Aging Studies from the Pepper Institute on Aging and Public Policy at FSU. She is credentialed as a Certified Rehabilitation Counseling by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification. Dr. Weatherspoon has 15 years of teaching experience in higher education. She is a member of the National Rehabilitation Counseling Association and the American Public Health Association.
