The Florida A&M University (FAMU) Marching “100” Band will provide pre-game, half-time and in game entertainment at the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl game in Mobile, Alabama, on Saturday, February 5.
The college football all-star game is scheduled to kick off at 1:30 p.m. CST at the University of South Alabama’s Hancock Whitney Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on NFL Network. Practices are live on ESPN, with NFL Network producing a daily recap show airing in primetime.
“We’re honored to have this opportunity for our University and band students,” said FAMU Director of Bands Shelby Chipman, Ph.D. About 200 band members will travel to Mobile.
In September 2021, the Marching “100” performed at pre-game activities for the NFL season opener between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys.
The Reese’s Senior Bowl is considered the nation’s most prestigious college all-star game, as it annually serves as the first step of the NFL draft process. The Reese’s Senior Bowl has had 106 total players and 36 selected in the first three rounds of the 2021 NFL Draft, according to organizers.
